Where do missing socks go?

	They spontaneously combust.
	The Sock Fairy steals them.
	They unravel and go down the washing machine drain.
	They are abducted by aliens.
	They are here - they are just invisible.
	Department store agents steal them so you'll have to buy more.

	Nobody knows.

Do you wear special socks on holidays?

	Yes, I like to show them off.
	No, just basic black.

I am often asked where all these socks came from. The truth is that I don't know or can't remember.

There are some wonderful socks stores in the Pittsburgh and Philadelphia airports. And when you go to a specialty store like one we visited in Northern Wisconsin that had all things moose, you are bound to find some great treasures. Finally, some of the socks came from tourist stops like Howe Caverns in New York State. And many were gifts.
